Background

Giving visual shape to an idea is a high demand skill set. Over the years, I have partnered with entrepreneurs, startups, as well as established companies who need a talented creative professional to help visualize their concept for a new product or business. Stakeholders like executives and investors, are more likely to accept the proposed new idea when a visual representation is presented.

Hyped, Logo and Product Design

An entrepreneur wanting to develop a single-serving, premium, low-calorie, juice containing electrolytes was in need of conceptual artwork to help sell the product idea to potential investors. Hyped was developed for a young, active adult audience who frequent nightclubs but are not interested in drinking alcoholic beverages.

I designed multiple logo options and packaging options to explore different perspectives. Each logo option employed simple yet flowing typography, incorporating a juice drop into the design. While the different packaging designs explore different approaches including how the flavor is displayed.

The final logo came about by combining these two options.

Whiskey & Wine, Logo

Whiskey & Wine was a conceptual luxury lounge with an extensive list of whiskeys and wines, with the mission to provide a tranquil environment where customers could enjoy their time away from the stresses of life. Whiskey & Wine was in need of a color palette and logo that would work in various forms such as on their entrance doors, windows, uniforms, as well as on digital and print promotional materials. This logo needed to clearly represent who the lounge is and what they offer.

I created the logo to have a mixture of a classical flair yet with a hint of liveliness, while showcasing the two types of beverages. Additionally, the colors used in the design were chosen to signify wine and whiskey. In some instances the logo will be used without the icon element, therefore anchoring the logo is an easy-to-read font that has a bit of character to it–allowing it to stand on its own.

Independent Distillers, USA
New Product Concepts

From New Zealand’s largest ready-to-drink (RTD) producer, came Independent Distillers, USA. The American office was launched to take advantage of the alcohol companies lack of product innovation. We regularly developed new RTD products with the goal of bringing a small percentage of those to the marketplace. As a result, it was necessary to develop certain branding components for the more promising beverages for market research. I collaborated with the marketing manager and the distiller’s marketing director to visualize the identities of the conceptual products, including names, logos, and package design.
